In year 2, we provide a supportive and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive. We have two year 2 classes, each with a passionate and skilled team of staff who work closely together to ensure the best possible experience for our pupils.
Building on the strong foundations laid in year 1 and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), we continue to develop essential skills in literacy and mathematics. Our Teachers and Teaching Assistants collaborate regularly to plan exciting lessons and activities that meet the needs of every pupil.
In year 2, we focus on nurturing creativity, independence and a love for learning, while ensuring that each pupil's confidence grows as they take on new challenges.
We believe in creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that allows each child to grow in confidence and enjoy their learning journey.

Our Curriculum Overview
In year 2, we offer an engaging and enriching curriculum designed to inspire curiosity and enable children to build essential skills in all subjects.
Each half term, we explore two learning enquiries: a long enquiry and a short enquiry. These allow children to explore ideas in greater depth, helping them to have a deeper understanding of the subject.
